This high performance low-pass filter is designed with a corner frequency (-3 dB point) of 500 kHz.
Distinguished characteristics are as follows:
This high performance low-pass filter can be used in many applications. It is a popular filter for the "Lowfer" radio listener to reduce interference from MW broadcast signals (and higher frequencies). The 500 kHz LPF is inserted between the antenna and receiver. Any signal above 530 kHz is heavily attenuated. Signals below 500 kHz pass with virtually no attenuation. There are several destinguished characteristics to the Kiwa 500 kHz Low Pass Filter that provide a level of performance apart from other designs. These are:
• The design is completely passive to eliminate any possibility of noise or distortion being introduced to the receiver.
• The design uses high Q torroidal inductors to provide an extremely sharp filter response.
• High Ultimate Rejection
• Capable of passing DC
• The filter is housed in an rf tight/shielded cast aluminum enclosure.
