This high performance high pass filter is designed for those who suffer from Broadcast Band (BCB) interference. It is especially helpful for those who listen to the lower shortwave fequencies (< 7 MHz) where spurious BCB signals appear.
The BCB filter is inserted between the antenna and the receiver. It is designed to perform as a receive only filter with a maximum signal transfer of one watt. Any BCB signal below 1.70 MHz is heavily attenuated. Signals above 1.75 MHz pass with virtually no attenuation.
Specifications:
Input/Output Impedance: 50 ohms
Passband insertion loss @ 3.0 MHz: -0.5 dB
-60 dB attenuation point: 1.22 MHz
Signals below 1.2 MHz are attenuated 60 dB
Static protection is provide on the input.
The BCB Rejection Filter is housed in a water tight, heavy duty, cast aluminum chassis. Input and output connectors are SO-239. Different input/output connectors are available upon request for a minimal charge. The input is protected from static buildup with a static drain resistor and discharge bulb. No power is required.
